What Does It Cost to Produce a Song Demo?
Most studios don't publish their prices. Premier Song Production does. A professionally produced song demo with real musicians starts at £235. A full band production with drums, guitars, bass, keys and vocals is £389. Here is exactly what each covers, and how to choose.
The two packages
Premier Basic Demo
£235 Vocals, acoustic guitar and piano. The same Premier Production approach as the full band: producing, arranging, recording, mixing and 24-bit mastering. Best for songs that work as intimate recordings, singer-songwriter material, ballads, acoustic pop.
Premier Full Band
£389 Vocals, electric and acoustic guitars, bass guitar, drums and keyboards. A complete band production. Best for pop, rock, commercial country, anything that needs energy and fullness. Male or female vocalist - your choice on both packages.
Both can be delivered as 24-bit masters. Stem files (individual WAV tracks) are available as an add-on at £65 if you want to remix or remaster later.
How Premier Song Production compares
Against AI tools
AI generates a backing track in seconds for a few pounds. It has no relationship to your specific song and no human ear making decisions. The rights situation on AI-generated music is also unresolved in most markets. At Premier Song Production, a real musician plays every part, a real producer shapes every arrangement, and you own 100% of the recording rights.
Against premium studios
A major studio session in London or Manchester can cost £500 to £2,000 per day, with no guarantee of a finished master at the end of it. Premier Song Production is a fixed price for a finished, mastered recording.
Against DIY recording
Home recording has no cost beyond equipment, but it also has no producer, no session musicians and no professional mix. A demo recorded on a phone or a basic interface rarely gets a serious response from publishers or labels.

Questions and answers
What is the cheapest way to get a professional song demo?
The Premier Basic Demo at £235 is the starting point: vocals, acoustic guitar and piano, professionally produced and mastered. It is a complete recording, not a rough demo. If your song works in a stripped-back arrangement, this is the most cost-effective route to a release-ready track.
Is a full band production WORTH IT?
If your song needs drums, electric guitar, bass and keys to sound right, yes. The full band production is what publishers and labels expect to hear for commercial pop, rock or country. A basic demo of a song that needs a full band can undersell the song.
Are there any hidden costs?
No. The prices listed are the total cost of the recording. Add-ons like stem files or co-writing are optional extras with fixed prices. There are no session fees, no studio day rates and no surprise charges after the fact.
How do I pay?
Through PayPal on the order form. Premier Song Production is a PayPal Verified Business. Credit cards, Google Pay and Apple Pay are also accepted through PayPal.
Is there a discount for returning clients?
Yes. Clients who have previously recorded with the studio are entitled to a loyalty discount. Email the studio directly to arrange it before placing your order.
